Opinion
A short time after Brenda sustains the fracture to her arm we have a consultation with Professor Cameron, he was obviously made an are of Brenda’s accident. The Professor informed Brenda that he had read Professor Patons notes, claiming he knew professor Paton very well. What surprised Brenda and I was, Professor Cameron stating, Professor Paton is entitled to his opinion. It was not until leaving this consultation that Brenda and I spoke about the implications of what Professor Cameron had said. What we were aware of was that the most up to date scan results had came through, Professor Paton . on reflection, I recollect during 1 particular consultation with Professor Cameron, he claimed that cancer on the bone was very difficult to measure, or identify the extent, We were however able to relate to Professor Paton stating extensive mets throughout skeletal mass from MRI scan. Professor Cameron claiming this was an opinion, Brenda discussed this issue with me, asking if i could confirm what she felt he had been told, the bone cancer had remained stable, no progression since commencing treatment, I confirmed with Brenda, and advised her not to doubt herself. Brenda’s arm did heal.
Eribulum
I along with Brenda was aware that cancer treatments can also have detrimental effects. However at no point were we ever made aware that the drug eribulum exaberate/accelerate bone cancer.I am aslo aware that eribulum is normally highly effective with liver mets, of which, Brenda had, but combined with bone mets. Allegedly DRs are there to preserve life. unfortunatey they never cave Brenda the choice, they failed to advise, yes their priority was Brenda’s liver condition, but they should have divulged the down side. fortunately Brenda did not love long enough to discover this information. She was fully aware of her teams failures, but continued to make it appear that she had some confidence for everyone else of not her.
Paclitaxel
April 2021 Brenda was placed on a named Paclitaxel, this drug belongs to group of chemotherapy known as taxanes, this drug should have been ideally suitable for Brenda, her type and grade of cancer, however brenda got no positive response from this drug, and therefore it was windrawn from her treatment after only a short time. I will refer back to earlier in Brenda’s story, Confliction, where Professor Cameron stated that he was somewhat baffler looking at Brenda’s medical fil, claiming that when she was first diagnosed with a small, non-nvasive ductal carcinoma it did not respond in a way typical of what pathology had found, he also stated it was possible they were not dealing with the cancer they thought they were combining this along with the failed response from Paclitaxel should have raised alarm bells that there was most certainly something not quite right time for a further biopsy which was long overdue, But no lets just continue going through a limited list of drugs / treatments, and hope for a positive result.
